Title: Global Peace and Human Rights Advocacy Project of CGS

Project Objectives:

Raise Global Awareness: Illuminate the detrimental effects of excessive military spending on peace and human rights globally, fostering a deeper understanding among stakeholders and the public.

Advocate for Resource Redistribution: Campaign to reallocate financial resources from military expenditures towards initiatives that promote peacebuilding, civil rights, and sustainable human development.

Train Global Leaders: Educate and mobilize global leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to prioritize peaceful conflict resolution and sustainable development strategies over militarization.

Empower Marginalized Communities: Redirect resources towards poverty alleviation and protection of human rights in underdeveloped regions, particularly focusing on countries like Bangladesh.
Project Activities:

Global Day of Action on Military Spending: Organize annual events and campaigns on April 15th to raise awareness about the exorbitant costs of militarization and its adverse impacts on peace and human rights. Collaborate with civil society organizations, universities, and government agencies worldwide to amplify the message and mobilize support.

Policy Advocacy: Engage with policymakers, diplomats, and international organizations to advocate for policies that promote disarmament, demilitarization, and sustainable peacebuilding efforts. Lobby for the redirection of military budgets towards critical social sectors such as education, healthcare, social welfare, and infrastructure.

Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive studies and analysis on the socio-economic consequences of military spending, particularly its disproportionate impact on vulnerable and marginalized populations. Disseminate research findings through academic publications, policy briefs, and multimedia platforms to inform public discourse and shape evidence-based policy-making.

Capacity Building: Provide targeted training workshops and capacity-building programs for grassroots activists, community leaders, and youth advocates. Equip them with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to advocate effectively for peace, human rights, and social justice within their communities.

Conclusion:

Through strategic collaboration with the University of Dhaka and the International Peace Bureau, CGS endeavors to ignite a global movement for peace and human rights. By challenging the status quo of excessive military spending and advocating for alternative approaches to conflict resolution and resource allocation, we envision a world where peace, justice, and dignity prevail universally.
